As a long time client of my hair dresser, skin care technician and friend, Shanda smith. I was approached to try the fractional C02 resurfacing treatment. This procedure is a more invasive, deeper form of laser skin care treatment to tackle many skin imperfections. I am a 46yr old mother of 2, who has spent many hours in the sun. I have scars and lines and basically wanted a 'smoothing effect' to diminish some of these 'age giveaways'. This treatment is 15mins max after 20min numbing cream is applied. The procedure has minor discomfort, defined as what I would call 'hot face flashing'. the first evening after treatment felt like the first day of spring where i spent too long in the sun and wind. There was redness and some swelling. I smothered up in soothing ointment and was able to sleep comfortably. By the end of day 2 the swelling had diminished down to a bare minimum and the peeling had begun on the bridge of my nose. Day 3 felt like I was wearing a clay mask as my old skin continued to peel and uncovered a bright, glowing face beneath. I am now on day 5 of this journey and I have very little skin left to peel on the bottom of my jaw. my dog bit scars are near undetectable, the lines around my mouth and eyes are also majorly diminished. I will continue to apply ointment on my skin for a few more days until I feel the skin has fully healed and I have completed the de-shedding process. I highly recommend this treatment to anyone who would love a renewal. there is some downtime associated to the process, however it is worth it! Cost of treatment $900. The cost of feeling fabulous $priceless!
